CranioSacral Therapy for Babies & Kids

CranioSacral Therapy is a non-invasive approach that is gentle, yet powerful, when used to treat babies and children. For some infants, the birth process can generate mild to severe central nervous system compromises, most of which can develop during pregnancy. CranioSacral Therapy within the first few days and weeks of life, can potentially reduce developmental challenges which might not otherwise become apparent until the child is school-age. When kids are older and encounter physical traumas, as minor as falling off a bike, or as severe as a major car accident, receiving CranioSacral treatment can prevent the compensatory problems that can develop later in life from these traumas. Using a light touch throughout the body, the therapist monitors the rhythm of the fluid that flows around the central nervous system (the brain and spinal cord) to detect restrictions. Delicate hands-on techniques are used to release those restrictions. Sessions can be given laying down, sitting on a parent's lap, or while breastfeeding. Each session is approached taking the nature of the child into account as well as their condition.
